My latest play 'Somersaults' will open on the 10th of March at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh. It is directed by Vicky Featherstone for the National Theatre of Scotland. Times and dates can be found on the NTS website at - http://www.nationaltheatrescotland.com.

As well as writing I run the family textiles business - Breanish Tweed. They actually complement each other quite well, I am out in the real world rather than at the desk, travelling far and wide and meeting interesting characters. It's inspired a number of plays for me.
I have got a number of good stories out of meeting people involved in the cloth world. For example, the tailor who was quite proud that a New York mobster was shot wearing his suit... I gave him a discount. I have written a little in the 'My Blog' section about the story of how it all came about.
